Expected film Mere Husband Ki Biwi, starring Bhumi Pednekar, Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and comedian-actor Harsh Gujral, got released in theatres on February 21, 2025. Part of the promotional tour has included numerous public appearances, and videos of their interactions are going viral on social media.
Is Bhumi Pednekar Asking Harsh Gujral to Get Off? The Real Story

In a recent college event, a video went viral, where Arjun danced with Bhumi to the old track between Harsh Gujral and background dancers. It features Bhumi making a hand gesture, which many interpreted as a request for Harsh to leave the stage. As expected from such speculation, both lines of criticism began from netizens where Bhumi was berated for snubbing Harsh.
To clear the air of controversy, Bhumi shared a video on her social media, where she and Arjun can be seen most probably recreating the funny incident. In the clip, with a playful tone, Arjun tells Harsh to “Harsh, Bhumi kuch bol rahi hai.” (Harsh, Bhumi is saying something.)
Bhumi would again repeat her action shown in the viral video. Harsh responds by joking, “Mai nahi maan raha, fir log galat samajhte hain.” (I won’t listen up, since people then misunderstand.)
Then she asks Harsh, “Us din maine tujhe kya bola tha?” (What did I tell you that day?)

To that Harsh clarifier answers, “Aapne bas itna bola tha, ‘Arjun ke bagal mein jaake naach le.’ Aur mai pagalon ki tarah pata nahi kahan accha raha tha!” (You told me to join next to Arjun, but I frankly didn’t know where I was going!).”
People laugh with them and shout together “Kalesh!” (unnecessary drama).
Bhumi Pednekar on Her Role in Mere Husband Ki Biwi
Bhumi revealed her role in the new film as one close to her heart because she has completed ten years in the industry now.
“Mere Husband Ki Biwi holds a very special place in my heart. When I read the script, I realized I had never played a character like Prableen before. She’s bizarrely unpredictable in an amusing way, and her quirks bring humor to the film. I played this part with a lot of dedication making it an incredibly special project for me,” expressed Bhumi with PTI.
Mere Husband Ki Biwi deals with modern relationships and their erratic complexities under the direction of Mudassar Aziz (Khel Khel Mein, Pati Patni Aur Woh). Bhumi credited Aziz for helping her tap comedy once again saying that “Timing and delivery are very important in comedies. The way dialogues are written follow specific rhythm and if you deliver them wrong then punch would not land.”
On the grand release of Mere Husband Ki Biwi, all fans wait to see Bhumi, Arjun, Rakul, and Harsh on this fun-loving romantic comedy.
