Ashley St. Clair, 31, made a post on X on Friday night, claiming that she and Musk share a 5-month-old baby.
“I had a baby five months ago. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote, adding the title “Alea lacta est,” meaning in Latin “the die is cast.”
St. Clair disclosed that she had previously kept the information private for the sake of their child’s safety and well-being. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” she wrote.
She has further urged the media to respect their child’s privacy: “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy and refrain from invasive reporting.”
St. Clair’s accusations have gone unanswered by Elon Musk so far, and his lawyers have issued no formal response. It was only hours after the announcement that the bombshell was registered, and Musk continued doing his posting on different issues on X.
About three hours later, Ashley St. Clair expressed her gratitude to her supporters in a tweet describing her “great deal of appreciation” and announcing her exit from the social media site. “In all sincerity, appreciate the kind words. Wish I did not feel the need to make a statement. Kids should be off-limits for journalists. Will be spending time with my family & logging off for a while,” she posted.
This would be Musk’s 13th confirmed child with four different women, should it be verified.
Musk has five children with his first wife, Justine Wilson; twins Vivian and Griffin and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian. He shares three children with singer Grimes: X, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus. He had twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis: Strider and Azure. Many recently attended a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Modi with their father.
Meanwhile, St. Clair was reportedly in attendance at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in a Balenciaga getup.
She recently also broke a 40-week Instagram hiatus, later posting a throwback photo of herself taken at Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
